Our January 2009 Circulation display was a collaborative effort by several different staff members. The idea behind it was to point out some of the many ways that a Public Library can be a tremendous help in hard times.
This display came together almost serendipitously as various staff members jumped in and contributed ideas, books and display materials for a group of 'mini-displays' each featuring some way the Library can help people save money or time in a challenging economy. There are shelves featuring books on finances, car repair, inexpensive travel and entertainment as well as great basic skills like cooking, decorating and sewing. As usual our display also features one of Roseanne Losee's great Banners.
In tough times, remember--we're here to serve--and we ARE serving. Just take a look at this display for some idea of how many ways the Public Library is helping folks to help themselves!
